- Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, located at 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA 23667 intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to Salvation Army, 5525 Raby Rd, Norfolk, VA for the emergency homeless veteran shelter for the Hampton VA Medical Center, Hampton, Virginia. Location of the emergency shelter must be within a 20-mile radius of the Hampton VA Medical Center. Period of performance will be for the period November 01, 2024, through October 31, 2025 with four option years. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) soliciting from a single source. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 624221 (Temporary Shelters) with a small business size standard of $13.5 million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS Order to include the following: Item Number Description Quantity Unit 0001 Emergency shelter for homeless veteran 12 MO 1001 Emergency shelter for homeless veteran 12 MO 2001 Emergency shelter for homeless veteran 12 MO 3001 Emergency shelter for homeless veteran 12 MO 4001 Emergency shelter for homeless veteran 12 MO No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past experience and expertise may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
