SOURCES SOUGHT ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REQUIRED RESPONSE DATE: 4:30 pm EST on 10/14/2024 Contract Specialist: Kelly Day�� ����Email: kelly.day@dla.mil ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit the following Long Term Contract: NSN� � � � � � � � � � � 4730012509443 ITEM NAME� � � � �COUPLING HALF, QUICK Unit of Issue� � � � EA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The AMC/AMSC for the NSN listed above is �1/C� AMC ""1"" Suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time. AMSC ""C"" This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. If one source is approved, AMCs 3, 4, or 5 are valid. If at least two sources are approved or if data is adequate for an alternate source to qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, AMCs 1 or 2 are valid. NOTE: This project contains Drawings/Specifications. Vendors may access the applicable drawings/specifications by querying CM24138001 within the solicitation field at the following link: https://pcf1.bsm.dla.mil/cfolders. Drawings cannot be accessed through a DIBBS, cFolders link at this time.� The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 332996 with Small Business size standard of 1,500 employees. This SOURCES SOUGHT notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is strictly for market�research. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the capability and availability of qualified businesses that are capable of executing this potential contract. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. EXPORT CONTROL OF TECHNICAL DATA This item has technical data some or all of which is subject to export-control of either the International Traffic in Arms regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and cannot be exported without prior authorization from either the Department of State or the Department of Commerce. Export includes disclosure of technical data to foreign persons and nationals whether located in the United States or abroad. This requirement applies equally to foreign national employees and U.S. companies and their foreign subsidiaries. DFARS 252.225-7048 is applicable to this data. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) limits distribution of export-control technical data to DLA contractors that have an approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification, have completed the Introduction to Proper Handling of DOD Export-Controlled Technical Data Training and the DLA Export-Controlled Technical Data Questionnaire (both are available at the web address given below), and have been approved by the DLA controlling authority to access the export-controlled data. Instructions for obtaining access to the export-controlled data can be found at: https://www.dla.mil/HQ/LogisticsOperations/EnhancedValidation/ To be eligible for award, offerors and any sources of supply proposed for use are required to have an approved JCP certification and have been approved by the DLA controlling authority to access export-controlled data managed by DLA.
