THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government desires to procure a U.S. Army FAA Part 141 Helicopter Flight School Pilot Program. The Mission Installation and Contracting Command (MICC) ? Fort Eustis is conducting market research to identify parties that are interested in and have the resources to meet the Army�s statement of objectives. When responding to this Sources Sought Synopsis provide information sufficient to support your claims. We encourage all businesses to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price. Project Title: U.S. Army FAA Part 141 Helicopter Flight School Pilot Program The United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) is proposing a Civilian FAA Part 141 school that will give students the privileges of Private Pilot, Rotorcraft Helicopter, and Instrument Helicopter. After completing the civilian FAA Part 141 school, participants will attend Military Helicopter training. The Army is looking to transform the way we train Army Rotary Wing Aviators. The graduate of this program will complete all FAA Part 141 school requirements that will give students the privileges of Private Pilot, Rotorcraft Helicopter, and Instrument Helicopter. Aircraft used for training must meet the following minimum requirements: Turbine engine. Counterclockwise rotating rotor system. Standard configuration dual flight controls (cyclic, collective, anti-torque pedals). Training may not exceed 16 weeks. Training week should be no more than 6 days per week at 8-10 hours per day.
