- Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), Code 410A Procurement, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Fairbanks Morse Defense, LLC for Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) Main Propulsion Diesel Engine (MPDE) overhaul aboard the USS GREEN BAY (LPD-20) in support of SWRMC Code 300. The requested parts are considered essential critical items, it is crucial these parts are obtained through Fairbanks Morse Defense, LLC to ensure they are compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with the current system presently installed. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the subject parts is MAN Diesel and Turbo SE, with whom Fairbanks Morse Defense, LLC has an exclusive licensing agreement with no authorized distributors. The requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR part 12 and FAR part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333618 � Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing, and the business size standard is 1500 (# of employees).� Fairbanks Morse Defense, LLC possesses exclusive rights to manufacture, sell, install, and provide parts and services associated with LPD class ships fitted with PC 2.5 and PC 2.5 STC Main Propulsion Diesel Engines, including but not limited to the required parts under this requirement. There are no dealer networks in place, all purchases must come directly from Fairbanks Morse Defense, LLC. Furthermore, the system design specifically states replacement parts must be in accordance with the NAVSEA Drawings and Technical Manuals. Therefore it is essential, that the Navy procures these parts directly from the manufacturer to ensure its compatibility and capability. These parts are critical to support the USS Green Bay (LPD 20). The Required Delivery Date (RDD) is 20 February 2025 (subject to change). This notice is neither a request nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clean and concise documentation indicating a vendor's bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Requests must include company name, address, telephone number of the requester, e-mail address, Cage code, and business size.�� All information should be delivered via e-mail to scott.s.quiambao.civ@us.navy.mil and Ricardo.barraza-cobos.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 11:00 AM (PST), 08 November 2024. Information delivered by other than e-mail will not be accepted. Certifications in the System for Award Management must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
