- DK SHADEHILL REPLACE LADDERS PLATFORMS GUARDRAILS This is a Sources Sought Announcement for the Bureau of Reclamation - Shadehill Platforms, Ladders, and Guardrail Replacement Project South Dakota This announcement is being used for market research and advanced planning purposes. Proposals are not requested and will not be accepted from this Sources Sought Notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND A CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. The scope of work will take place at the Shadehill Dam gate shaft, approximately 15 miles south of Lemmon, South Dakota. The Outlet Works Hoist House is located approximately 1.8 miles along the gravel access road located approximately 3,500 feet along Summerville Road from the intersection of Summerville Road and State Highway 73 at approximately latitude 45.752691 and longitude -102.201966. The principal components of work to be performed include the following: A. Disassemble and replace platforms, guardrails, safety devices and ladders in the gate shaft used to the access radial gate structure. B. Install safety devices on existing ladders and platforms used to access the slide gate. Working hours are anticipated to be from 7:00 A.M. � 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday MT, except for federal holidays. The draft specifications and drawings are included in this Sources Sought as Attachment #1 entitled �Shadehill Specifications & Drawings.� The anticipated period of performance is from 04/14/2025 to 10/14/2025, or 6 months from the time of contract award. The Government is seeking interested in 8(a) and small businesses, small-disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, HubZone small businesses and/or service-disabled veteran owned small business concerns who have the specialized knowledge, experience, and resources necessary to successfully complete a project of this size, scope, and complexity. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a business size standard of $45 million. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this proposed construction project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought Notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will not be bound to this information if a solicitation is issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action, based on the responses to this notice, is at the discretion of the Government. Capability statements shall be submitted to Contracting Officer Mitchell Frost at mfrost@usbr.gov no later than 1700 MS on November 29, 2024. For record keeping purposes, telephonic inquiries will not be accepted.
