Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS, INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. NO CONTRACT AWARD WILL RESULT FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The National Institutes of Health is conducting market research to determine the availability of small businesses capable of providing the following services for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The Contractor will need to perform all the below requirements through self-performing or subcontracting. Specialty Lab Water This contract shall provide quality assurance, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, installation, removal, and relocations of POU Laboratory Water Purification Systems, Reverse Osmosis equipment, and leak detectors with shut-off valves to prevent leaks and to ensure quality and to maintain full operating conditions for all lab water purification equipment at NIEHS. The Contractor is required to furnish all services, parts, and supplies necessary to fulfill this contract's overall objectives successfully. If additional services, components, or maintenance is required beyond the terms of this contract, the contractor is to notify the Contracting Officer or COR at NIEHS if costs are involved and before the work is done. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary properly trained personnel, labor, installation or service equipment, facilities, tools, parts, materials, and supplies required in the performance of this contract. At the time of this contract award, 196 POU systems and six, (6) Reverse Osmosis systems will be covered under this contract during each contract year. The regenerate process and the regenerate tanks will be processed on-site at the contractor's office located within 10 miles of NIEHS. The Contractor shall provide trained personnel, with experience in the repair and maintenance of the equipment types provided by the contractor. Personnel must be fully qualified to perform the required services of preventive maintenance and repair of all listed equipment as well as installation of newly purchased or relocated systems. All workmanship performed by the Contractor shall be of acceptable quality to the Government and shall be immediately rectified at no additional cost to the Government upon notification of non-acceptability by the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is: 221310 Bag in/Bag out The Contractor shall monitor and report the differential pressure gauge readings, provide preventive maintenance, and maintain the bag-in/bag-out filter systems located within the David P. Rall Building (23 units) and the bag-in/bag-out filter trains serving the Waste Handling Facility with the unit consists of pre-filter, HEPA, and carbon filters four, (4) stages high, three, (3) filter deep). The contractor will also maintain a Flow Science Bag out filter FS4060, and a PALL Vacuum Filter system. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel, labor, installation or service equipment, facilities, tools, parts, materials, and supplies required in the performance of this contract. The contractor is responsible for the proper off-site disposal of soiled filters. Ensure disposal complies with relevant regulations and guidelines for hazardous or waste materials. Supervisory and technical personnel shall have at least three years of experience maintaining and replacing bag in-bag-out system filters. The Contractor shall be responsible for the selection, certification, assignment, supervision, management, and control of employees in the performance of this contract.
