Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Asheville, North Carolina has a requirement for a contractor to renovate Building 15 2nd Floor under project 637-20-103 as required by Drawings and Specifications to be provided in forthcoming Solicitation. SCOPE Construction Services: Provide materials, labor, tools, supervision and equipment necessary to perform work as described in the construction Drawings and Specifications to be provided with Solicitation. Work includes, but not limited to: preparing site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials to perform the installation of ceiling, flooring, sheetrock/metal stud walls, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing for approximately 12,500 square feet of space in the occupied administrative Building 15 at the Asheville VA Medical Center. Construction schedule: 15 days for bonds, 270 days for submittals and construction. Total contract time: 285 calendar days. IAW VAAR 836.204 the magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS CODE: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors� Size Standard: $45M Solicitation Date: The approximate Solicitation issue date will be January 6, 2025 with an approximate response date of February 26, 2025. A Pre-Bid Site Visit is tentatively projected for January 16, 2025 at 3:00PM EST and Potential Offerors are required to RSVP by NLT COB 12:00PM EST January 9, 2025 via email to Shirley.Gregory@va.gov. It is the responsibility of the Potential Offerors to confirm receipt of RSVP. It is the responsibility of the Potential Offerors to bring all necessary personnel, inclusive of subcontractors, tooling and materials necessary to the Pre-Bid Site Visit. The Government will NOT be providing paper copies of any Solicitation, Solicitation attachments or annexes, Specifications, or Drawings. The Government will NOT be reimbursing any costs associated with attendance or Bid preparation. The Solicitation will be issued on a restricted basis and will be 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. However, should this pre-solicitation notice fail to provide adequate socio-economic interest to merit the continued reservation of the aforementioned set-aside, the projected site visit and set-aside may be cancelled. If you are interested in bidding on this project but do not intend to attend the pre-bid site visit, please ensure that you do submit your intent to the aforementioned POC by the previously identified date and time. To be eligible for award the SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: https://veterans.certify.sba.go. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for Bid. The Government is not obligated to issue a Solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until the issuance of the Solicitation. No Bid list is maintained. All interested vendors should register on this website.
