Description: Provide space segment (i.e., transponders) for the Alaskan Satellite Telecommunications Infrastructure (ASTI), formerly Alaskan NAS Inter-facility Communications System (ANICS). The ASTI program provides inter-facility communications to primarily support the FAA Air Traffic Control (ATC) mission between remote and hub facilities located in Alaska; with additional remote locations in Cape Blanco OR (5S6), Oklahoma City (OKC) OK, Anadyr1 (DYR) Russia, and expected additional sites within the NAS in the future.
