- Product Service Code: U001 - EDUCATION/TRAINING- LECTURES NAICS Code: 611430 � Professional and Management Development Training Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD 20889 Description THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE / PROPOSAL The Defense Health Agency (DHA), Northeastern Healthcare Operations-Contracting Division (NEHO-CD), on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), in support of the National Capital Region Pain Initiative Clinic, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to The Institute for Functional Medicine, 505 S 336th St. Suite 600, Federal Way, Washington 98003-5947, CAGE 63K66. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition pursuant to FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source for Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The contract is intended to procure Functional medicine training sessions for treating pain without drugs and surgery. This training will focus on treatments in functional medicine, specifically the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice course offers established and emerging diagnostics, therapeutics, and prevention strategies, how to design nutritional and lifestyle interventions to improve patient compliance and outcomes, how to integrate appropriate assessment tools to diagnose, treat, and assess patient outcomes from a Functional Medicine approach, how to utilize innovative and practical assessment tools, methods to establish a mutually empowering partnership between clinician and patient, the scientific basis for Functional Medicine principles and fundamental clinical imbalances and how to apply key elements of the Functional Medicine Model in clinical practice. This training allows for a new approach in looking at pain related diagnoses and how to address symptoms. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Phone calls will not be accepted. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed action based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by responding to this notice no later than 10:00am EST, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 by email to judith.s.meynard.ctr@health.mil and cc: erica.s.oh.civ@health.mil All information submitted should support the offeror�s capability to provide the training required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
