Description
Network Contracting Office 6 intends to release an Invitation for Bid (IFB) aimed at securing construction services necessary to upgrade and or replace elevators in Bldg. 15, 47, and 62 at the Charles George VA Medical Center located in Asheville, NC. Work includes, but not limited to: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials to perform the replacement and/or upgrade twelve (12) elevators in the occupied hospital Building 15, 47, and 62 at the Asheville VA Medical Center. There are two (2) hydraulic elevators (one 4-stop, one 3-stop), five (5) traction elevators (6-stop each) and three (3) hydraulic elevators (3-stop each), and two (2) hydraulic elevators (3-stop each). All work shall be done in accordance with the Construction Drawings and specifications. A Pre-Bid Site Visit is tentatively projected for 06 March 2025 at 2:00PM EST and Potential Bidders are required to RSVP by no later than 12:00PM EST 26 February 2025 via email to quentin.norvell@va.gov. The definitive Site Visit Date will be published within the formal Solicitation. Attendance of the Pre-Bid Site Visit is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. It is the responsibility of the Potential Bidder to confirm receipt of RSVP. It is the responsibility of the Potential Bidders to bring all necessary personnel, inclusive of subcontractors, tooling, and materials necessary to the Pre-Bid Site Visit. The Government will NOT be providing paper copies of any solicitation, solicitation attachments or annexes, specifications, or drawings. The Government will NOT be reimbursing any costs associated with attendance or bid preparation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290 with a size standard of $22 million. The approximate IFB issue date will be 17 February 2025 with an approximate response date of 22 April 2025. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 IAW FAR 36.204. The IFB will be issued on a restricted basis and will be 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. However, should this pre-solicitation notice fail to provide adequate socio-economic interest to merit the continued reservation of the set-aside, the projected site visit may be cancelled. If a qualified SDVOSB is indeed interested in this requirement and does plan to attend the site visit, please ensure that your firm s interest in this project is communicated to the POC for this notice by the previously identified RSVP date above. To be eligible for award the SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov)/. Companies must have the Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE) seal on their registration to be considered for an award. Potential Bidders are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number; recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Any amendments to this IFB will only be made available via the SAM.gov website. Bidders are responsible for obtaining the IFB from SAM.gov | Contract Opportunities and acknowledging all amendments to any subsequent IFB. NO paper copies of the impending solicitation will be furnished.
