Description
Synopsis for Independence National Historical Park, Glazing Maintenance and Repairs at the Liberty Bell Complex The National Park Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Maintenance and Repair of the Glazing at the Liberty Bell Complex at Independence National Historical Park, PA. This project will accomplish maintenance and repair of the existing structural glazed wall system at the Liberty Bell Complex. The intent of this project is to provide maintenance service to the existing viewing wall, and to provide bird-friendly film on the maximum amount of glazed surface area that the budget will support. The scope includes removal and replacement of joint sealants, and installation of bird-friendly film on the exterior glazing surface. The project also includes inspecting the curtain wall and ensuring all fittings are secured to specified torque values. The project will also include the installation of bird-friendly film on the exterior glazing surface at other elevations around the building. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P4225B0002 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $1M and $5M TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm-fixed Price Construction Wage Rate Requirements apply for Philadelphia County, PA. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS): The NAICS code is 238150 with a small business size standard of $45M. This project is set-aside 100% for Total Small Business. SITE VISIT: An organized site visit has been scheduled for this project. See the resulting solicitation Section L, Provision 52.236-27 Site Visit (Construction) for site visit information. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project. PUBLICZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued and available Jun/Jul 2025 to SAM.gov. The Contracting Officer will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, a bidder must have a UEI number. Also, the bidder must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) and have completed their online Representations and Certifications before the time of solicitation close.
