Notice of Intent to Sole Source � HT9425-25-NOI-RO THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Agency/Office: U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) Location: Naval Health Clinic Hawaii, Branch Health Clinic, Makalapa Dental Clinic Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Preventative Maintenance and Service of AmeriWater Reverse Osmosis System North American Industry Classification System (NAICS): 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) Federal Service Code (PSC): J065 (Maintenance/repair/rebuild of equipment- medical, dental, and veterinary equipment and supplies) Purpose and Authority: The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements under FAR 13.106-1 entitled, �Soliciting Competition� regarding the Government�s intent to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available. Description(s): The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the Defense Health Agency Western Contracting Division, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Sole Source Award to Water Solutions Inc., 99-048 Koaha Way, Ste 1, Aiea, Hawaii 96701, which will provide a service and preventative maintenance agreement to maintain the reverse osmosis (RO) system installed at Branch Health Clinic (BHC) Makalapa Dental Clinic, including on-site service and repairs. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), �The Contracting Officer may solicit from one source of the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available�. In this instance, Water Solutions is the sole licensed provider of the aforementioned equipment on the island of Oahu, and as such is the only authorized company to maintain/repair said equipment. Water Solutions is the only licensed provider named by the manufacturer as able to service and maintain the equipment to preserve the warrantee and sustain reduced costs of services without requiring additional travel expenses. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the only notice by the Government; however any interested business that believes it can meet the requirement must respond in writing in the form of a capability statement. Responses must include supporting evidence that is clear and concise which articulates the ability to comply with the requirement outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered an affirmative response. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose to determine whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement on a full and open competitive basis will be made based on the responses received. Determination is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice, the proposed contract will be awarded without further remark.
