- Description
- The U.S. Embassy in Prague is seeking a qualified contractor to acquire and store marble stone for the future restoration of two exterior platforms of the southern terrace of the CMR building. The marble must match the quality and texture of the originally used marble. The storage period of the marble in the supplier's own facilities must be guaranteed for at least one year. Scope of Work: Material Specification:?Marble, equal or similar qualities � hardness, texture, color. The marble must match the texture, physical qualities, and color of the originally used marble. Quantity:?Sufficient for the complete replacement of two platforms of the exterior terraces and two massive 2-meter-long staircase steps. Storage Requirements:?The material must be stored in a dry, covered, and well-ventilated area to prevent exposure to moisture and weather conditions. The storage conditions must ensure the quality and texture of the marble are preserved. Delivery Timeline:?Delivery to storage must be completed within 30 days from Contract Award. Storage Duration:?Minimum period of one year. General Requirements: The work shall be executed diligently in accordance with a negotiated firm fixed price and performance period. The Contractor shall prepare and submit reports, bill of materials, product literature, specifications, and photos of the stone. The Contractor shall comply with all local labor laws, regulations, customs, and practices pertaining to labor, safety, and similar matters. Submission Requirements: Interested contractors are invited to submit their proposals, which should include: A firm fixed price cost proposal. Bill of Materials (BOM), product literature, samples, photos, and standard specification submittals of required materials. Evidence of the ability to store the marble in their own facilities for a minimum period of one year. The U.S. Embassy reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time. All proposals must be submitted in English. Additional Instructions: The contractor shall examine all documents and visit the site on the site-inspection day to fully inform themselves of all conditions and limitations applied to the work. The contractor shall commence work under this contract promptly, execute the work diligently, and achieve final completion and acceptance including final cleanup of the premises within the period specified. Milestones include a Pre-Proposal Site Visit, Award of Contract & Notice to Proceed, Pre-Construction Submittals within 10 days of NTP, Embassy Submittal Review within 5 days, Construction Begins within 5 days of NTP, and Construction Completed within 15 days. The work to be performed under this contract requires that the contractor, its employees, and sub-contractors submit corporate, financial, and personnel information for review by the Embassy. The contractor shall provide a fixed priced lump sum proposal in CZK (with and without VAT), including the specification of materials and bathroom products based on the table attached in Annex 2 - Specifications. Application for Solicitation Documentation Checklist: In applying for the solicitation material, you are acknowledging that your company can reach compliance with the following highlighted requirements included in the solicitation. In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), it will be necessary for your organization to possess authorization to operate and do business in the country in which this contract will be performed. Therefore, authorization shall include the requirement to be registered to do business in the Czech Republic. You will be required to provide information that clearly shows you are able to perform work in Prague. Contract award can only be made to a contractor who is registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). System for Award Management:?https://sam.gov. The failure to provide the above documentation when submitting your proposal may result in your proposal being found technically unacceptable and removed from the competition without further discussions. Note: The solicitation package/documents shall not be placed on SAM.gov. This solicitation notice does not commit the U.S. Department of State to award a contract, nor does it obligate the U.S. Department of State to pay for any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of proposals.
