- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT INQUIRY THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ). The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking information and sources that can provide one (1) Class II, Type A2 Bacteriology Safety Hood for the Laboratory at Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System (Jack C. Montgomery VAMC)-Muskogee, OK. Salient Characteristics of Class II, Type A2 Bacteriology Safety Hood being requested: Containment: Provides protection for the user, environment, and the product. Equipped with HEPA filters to capture airborne particles. Airflow: Class II: Protects the user, environment, and product. Vertical laminar airflow combined with HEPA filters keeps contaminants away from the work area. Construction: Made from high-quality stainless steel for durability and easy cleaning. Front sash (opening window) that can be adjusted to access the workspace safely. 10-inch (254 mm) Access Opening Manual Adjustable Tempered Glass Control Systems: Equipped with electronic alarms and monitoring systems for airflow, filter saturation, and containment breaches. Digital controls for regulating airflow and maintaining a sterile environment. Lighting and Ergonomics: Adequate lighting within the workspace to ensure clear visibility. Ergonomic PVC Armrest Decontamination: Equipped with UV germicidal lamps for surface decontamination. Smooth interior surfaces and rounded corners for easy cleaning and decontamination. The equipment will be located at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System (Jack C. Montgomery VAMC)-1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401.
