- Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Ecuador will launch the solicitation on the www.sam.gov (SAM) website when it is available. The Embassy of the United States Embassy in Quito - Ecuador requires installation services for fourteen (14) residential generator and forty (40) Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs), to be performed at residences located in Quito. The work required under this contract consists of providing all professional services, labor, materials, equipment, and supplies to complete all the work needed for this project. The solicitation will be issued via the SAM.GOV - Contract Opportunities. Note: The response date in this synopsis is not a firm date; please see the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the actual date. The anticipated performance period is less than sixty (60) calendar days. The residences will be occupied during the execution of this contract. The contractor shall coordinate with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for work phasing and job sequencing in each stage of this project in a sequential manner. The contractor must submit a phasing plan for review and approval prior to commencement of works. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. Offerors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database at https://www.sam.gov prior to submittal of their offer/proposal as prescribed under FAR 4.1102. Failure to be registered at time of proposal submission shall deem the offeror�s proposal to be considered non-responsive to the solicitation instructions and requirements and no further consideration will be given. Therefore, offerors are highly encouraged to register immediately if they are interested in submitting a response to this requirement.
