Description

STATEMENT OF NEED TITLE: REPLACEMENT OF CNC LATHE for CODE 3520 Machine Shop I. Purpose This equipment purchase will replace the current Code 3520 CNC Lathe that is out of service and beyond its useful life. The Proto TRAK 2470RX lathe was selected for the Code 3520 R & D services machine shop because of the unique functionality of this machine combined with the smaller footprint and lower gross weight that can be supported on the existing shop floor without modification, making it acceptable for facility installation requirements and the wide range of part sizes that are requested on a regular basis from the various different Research Divisions here at NRL. II. Scope This Contract will provide 1 new TRAK TRL 2470RX Toolroom Lathe Base Model with the following options. Period of Performance The expected delivery date for the items are 30-90 days after the contract is awarded. IV. Delivery Location Shipment of deliverable items specified in the Scope of Work shall be delivered to the following address: US Naval Research Laboratory Code 3500 Building 57, Room 105A 4555 Overlook Ave, SW Washington, DC 20375 V. Inspection and Acceptance Criteria The items listed in the scope of this document must be received by NRL Code 3520, setup by an authorized Manufactures representative, and determined by both parties to be in full working order to be accepted as final by NRL Code 3520.
