Description
Presolicitation Notice HH Oil Filtration Skid The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) requires the purchase of a replacement oil filtration skid. The new system would need to remove moisture from the oil, run unsupervised with leak detection and pressure sensors, and process the oil more efficiently. This acquisition is 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 333998 , All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing 700 with a Small Business Size Standard of 700 employees. The product service code is 4940 , MISCELLANEOUS MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SHOP. This RFQ is for a one-time supply of a replacement oil filtration unit for the Hungry Horse Powerhouse. Hungry Horse Dam currently has an oil filtration system that cannot keep up with the oil filtration requirements at the plant. The current system can filter oil at a rate of seven gallons per minute and requires constant monitoring in the oil room while the filtration process is occurring. To filter the oil from one unit requires nine hours through the current system. Standard practice, for the current system, is to filter the oil three times before returning the oil to the unit, this would take 27 hours of a mechanics time to filter the oil for one unit. The current system does not remove moisture from the oil and does not have leak detection or pressure sensors. We are proposing to upgrade this oil filtration system to a larger and more efficient system that can process more oil and would not require supervision while running. The new system would need to remove moisture from the oil, run unsupervised with leak detection and pressure sensors, and process the oil more efficiently. Reclamation intends to award one firm-fixed-price contract. The anticipated date to issue the Request for Quote, 140R1725Q0027, (written) is approximately the third week in August 2025. The anticipated closing date is the last week in August 2025. The anticipated award date is the second week in September 2025, but all dates in this notice are subject to change. Prospective vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting a quote. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. This product will be purchased in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, simplified acquisition procedures apply. The Government will evaluate quotes based on factors listed in the solicitation.
