- This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. This procurement is for one Hamilton Medical, Inc. MR1 Mechanical Ventilator to add to our current Hamilton Medical mechanical ventilators, of which all use the same consumable supplies to limit cost and inventory required. The HAMILTON-MR1 has been especially developed for the MRI suite, remaining close to the patient during MRI scans. The ICU ventilator combines reliability, compact size, and high performance with patient-adaptive modes that support advanced lung-protective strategies.MR1 can transport ventilated patients to the MRI department, MR-Conditional with the use of 1.5 Tesla and 3.0 Tesla static magnetic field scanners, utilizes integrated TeslaSpy magnetic field navigator , provides adult, pediatric, and neonatal ventilation, has up to 9 hours of battery operating time, independence from compressed air, ability to provide noninvasive ventilation and integrated high flow oxygen therapy (HFOT)*, and ability to provide Advanced ventilation modes including ASV� - Adaptive Support Ventilation� The proposed vendor, Hamilton Medical Inc., manufacturers and offers a proprietary, clinically proven, versatility of utilizing one mechanical ventilator seamlessly in multiple patient scenarios: MRI, ICU, intra hospital transport, non-invasive support, and high flow oxygen therapy. Hamilton MR1 is also MR-conditional with the use of both 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla static magnetic field scanners, utilizing an Integrated TeslaSpy magnetic field navigator. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 �Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-CompetitionRequirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the NIH, Clinical Center, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, to the attention of Ryssa Nix, Contract Specialist via email to Ryssa.nix@nih.gov by close date.
