Description
The purpose of this amendment 0001 to RFQ 36C25925Q0784 is to post vendor questions and answers and provide site pictures. Vendor Answers are seen below: Q1. The SOW states The contractor should plan for up to 40 personnel to attend each 8-hour training session over the two (2) consecutive days however the SAM.gov listing states Quantity Unit of Measure Unit Price Total Price 0001 Instructor led, in person, ICRA Training for up to 40 students over two consecutive 8-hour days. Which is it? the SOW reads 40 students per class x 2 classes- so 80 students. The SAM listening states 40 students in 2 classes- so 40 students. A1. This is to be priced for a flat rate of up to 40 students over the course of two days. Per student rates are not acceptable. Q2. Is this a refresher class for attendees or a new course for students who have never had and ICRA training. A2. These classes will have both types, but the contractor should plan as if the students have never been trained. Q3. The SOW states ICRA training, but is this also PCRA training since it is a bullet point in the training content? Since when we instruct them they are normally 2 different classes. A3. PCRA is the precursor to the need for an ICRA and should be instructed on as such. Q4. The SOW section 2. Calls for a Comprehensive hands-on training what does the facility consider Comprehensive since some training actually set up stark walls and create full containment with monitored negative pressure and some training only set up poly walls or stark walls without negative pressure. A4. The intent is to have both types of walls available to be set up and shown to function in their entirety. The contractor can set up most of this prior to the class and show personnel what a proper containment should look like. Q5. What training materials will be utilized for the Comprehensive hands-on training portion since there are multiple vendors that provide various forms of containment it would be worthless for a contractor to present a form or type of stark wall like items that the facility does not have or would use in the future. A5. The various walls on the market are not that different from each other. The intent is to show what proper containment should look like and at the end of the training the trainees should be able to set up basic containment. The trainee should also be able to recognize if one that is up is correct. Q6. Does the VA expect a contractor to bring negative pressure and ventilation equipment to the training for the demonstration or would the facility provide this equipment. A6. The SLCVA can supply air hogs if needed but any tubing, tape, plastic is on the contractor to supply. The SLCVA has stark walls they can offer to the contractor for them to set up. All tape plastic, tubing ext.. is to be supplied by the contractor. We will also allow the contractor to use the air hogs we have on station but again all plastic, tape, tubbing ect will be supplied but the contractor. Q7. Does the VA want all attendees to have obtain a Certified ICRA training certificate backed by an organization like AHSE? A7. The intent is to have the training needed should the trainee take the ASHE exam they will have been taught the skills needed to pass the exam Q8. The SOW only mentions The training must be sufficient to prepare course attendees for the ASHE ICRA 2.0 Qualification Exam so does the VA not expect the training to include an actual end of course exam? A8. The intent is to have the training needed should the trainee take the ASHE exam they will have been taught the skills needed to pass the exam Q9. The SOW states the training would be completed at the VA facility Building 18 training area. What does this training area have in place for presentations (i.e. tables, chair, projector, TV with complete hook ups, hands-on area etc.) A9. The training area is a warehouse-style building with tables, chairs, projectors, electrical hook-ups and room for hands-on area. Q10. Can you specify when the period of performance is? Training appears to take place on a Wednesday and Thursday, but there are no specific dates. A10. Training to be completed by 02-28-26, with federal holidays being avoided by one week, Training is to be done on Wednesday thru Thursday setting. Q11. Could you please confirm if this date is correct and if there have been any updates or amendments that may not have been posted yet? A11. Yes, the deadline is correct. Quotes are due 09/12/2025 at 16:00 MT.
