Description
Next Generation Logistics Ship (NGLS) Concept Design Multiple Award Contract (MAC) Solicitation; The NGLS Program is a new class of ships intended to augment the current Combat Logistics Force ships. The NGLS will enable refueling, rearming, and resupply of Naval and USMC assets ? afloat and ashore ? in support of Distributed Maritime Operations, Littoral Operations Contested Environment, and Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations. The NGLS is envisioned to be smaller than existing ships in the Combat Logistics Force, and will operate in global maritime domains, sustaining afloat and ashore Navy and USMC requirements. NGLS is currently conceived to be a single ship type providing Refuel, Resupply, and Rearm capabilities. This Request for Proposals (RFP) requires that the Contractor(s) shall deliver cost effective ship designs and approaches that meet the capabilities required by Next Generation Logistics Ship (NGLS) Circular of Requirements (COR) Rev 1.17. The Contractor(s) shall conduct a global market survey for replenishment ships that could be built in United States shipyards, assess feasibility and affordability of current NGLS requirements by performing design development, and provide information regarding compliance with 2025 NDAA ?basic and functional design? requirements. The Government plans to award up to three contracts resulting from this solicitation, based on the RFP contained within this posting. Offers MUST be submitted in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) Solicitation Module (SOL). Emailed or otherwise transmitted proposals will not be accepted. Attachments J-1, J-2, J-4, and J-6 are controlled documents. To request access to these solicitation attachments, please email: olivia.s.wisont.civ@us.navy.mil and steven.w.noel.civ@us.navy.mil with a signed copy of the Addendum L-2 NGLS NDA. Please sign and return this addendum even if you previously provided an NDA to the Government during market research efforts.
