Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is 75N94025Q00244 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2025-06. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1000e. However, this solicitation is not set aside for total small business. This acquisition is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is seeking a vendor who can provide the following new Eppendorf Ultracentrifuge, accessories and services as follows: 1. Part# - 5720108013 - Ultracentrifuge Model CP80NX for NA � Qty (1) EA 2. Part# - 5720211205 - Rotor P21A2, fixed-angle rotor, incl. 6 x 230PP bottle, forCP-NX series � Qty (1) EA 3. Item# - 0082029210 - Installation Ultracentrifuge � Qty (1) EA Installation shall be performed by a certified Eppendorf technician, ensuring proper setup, functional testing, and performance verification of the instrument. The Eppendorf CP80NX ultracentrifuge offers exceptional capabilities for molecular and cellular biology research, including: � Maximum centrifugation speeds of up to 615,000 � g (80,000 rpm) � Maximum capacity of 1,380 mL with Rotor P21A2 (6 � 230 mL bottles) � RLM System and Rotor ID detection for rotor longevity � Quiet operation (<51 dB[A]) for improved lab environment � Visual sample balancing and intuitive 6.5-inch touchscreen with multilingual support � Remote monitoring via mobile device and optional log management software � Front-mounted LED status bar for operational visibility � Biosafety features available through factory or on-site modification The system includes the P21A2 fixed-angle rotor, optimized for large-volume separations at up to 71,000 � g and built from high-quality aluminum for durability. The requesting lab at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) support high-impact biomedical research, which depends heavily on high-speed ultracentrifugation to separate biological components such as proteins, nucleic acids, and organelles. To support ongoing and expanding research projects, the lab group requires an advanced ultracentrifuge system with high performance, safety, and capacity capabilities. The requested Eppendorf CP80NX ultracentrifuge, compatible P21A2 rotor, and certified installation services will replace aging equipment and enhance experimental throughput and reproducibility. The Eppendorf CP80NX ultracentrifuge system, including the P21A2 rotor and certified installation, is uniquely suited to meet the government�s technical and operational requirements. This model delivers exceptional high-speed separation capabilities (up to 615,000 � g) and a large volume capacity (6 � 230 mL), essential for the lab advanced molecular and cellular workflows. Its OEM-integrated features�such as the RLM rotor lifetime monitoring system, quiet operation, intuitive touchscreen interface, and remote monitoring/access which are critical requirements for efficient and uninterrupted research. The rotor and ultracentrifuge are engineered to function as a fully integrated system. Also, installation by an Eppendorf-certified technician ensures proper calibration, full system compatibility, certified installation, functional testing , safety compliance, and comprehensive user training tailored to the labs� specialized molecular and cellular research needs. No alternative product offers this level of OEM compatibility, certified setup, and performance necessary to support this continuous mission-critical research operations and safeguard NIH�s investment. Delivery Address: National Instittues of Health 9000 Rockville Pike Bethesda, MD 20892 Training: Basic operational training for lab personnel will be provided at the time of installation, and a formal installation report will be issued to verify readiness. Period of Performance: The expected period of performance begins upon award and includes delivery, installation, and training to be completed within 30 calendar days from the award date, subject to coordination with the vendor and NIH facility access. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order The offeror must include a completed copy of the provision of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications � Commercial Products and Commercial Services (May 2024) (Deviation Feb 2025) with its offer. The provisions of FAR Clause 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors � Commercial Items; FAR Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation � Commercial Items - The Government will award a procurement resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, based on lowest price and technically acceptable. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions � Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders � Commercial Products and Commercial Services (Jan 2025) (Deviation Feb 2025); FAR Clause 52.204-8 Annual Representations and Certifications (Jan 2025) (Deviation Feb 2025) � Deviation for Simplified Acquisitions applies to this acquisition. The offeror must include their Unique Entity ID (UEI), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size. Note: The contractor/offeror must provide a completed copy of FAR 52.204-24, ""Representation Regarding Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment"" with their quote in response to this solicitation. Responses to this solicitation must include enough information to establish the interested parties� bona-fide capabilities of providing all services and or products needed as per this solicitation.
