- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. IT IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The United States Air Force Academy Admissions Office is seeking potential sources capable of providing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered transcript reading and scoring platform. This product must be able to: 1. Read and interpret high school transcripts with at least 99% accuracy after AI training a. Transcripts are typically in .pdf files but other formats such as .jpeg may be supplied to the vendor 2. Digitize the data for processing a. Student Name, high school name, course names, course credits, course level, year etc. must be parsed into separate data fields b. Data must be able to be securely transferred between vendor and buyer c. Vendor must be able to securely store data to industry standards and follow the buyer's data retention and destruction policies 3. Categorize courses and course levels by using context of the transcript and other data sources a. Categorize courses into English, Math, Science, Social Science, etc. b. Further classify courses by standard course type (e.g., Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, etc.) c. Understand course codes to categorize courses by rigor (e.g., Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Honors, Standard College Preparatory Course, etc.) 4. Understand different grading scales and translate them into a 4.0 scale using letter grades a. For example a 0-100 percent grading scale must be translated to a 4.0 scale using A through F letter grades or a 5.0 grading scale must be translated to a 4.0 scale. 5. Identify included and excluded courses provided by the buyer in a GPA recalculation 6. Identify missing courses provided by the buyer by course type and provide reports 7. Recalculate GPA based on a weighting scale provided by the buyer 8. Translate GPA into an index based on the buyer's requirements 9. Have a training and learning interface for the buyer so that the buyer can: a. Train the AI on new rule sets for identifying and classifying data b. Examine any errors that occur in reading the transcript to retrain the AI 10. Provide displays and reports Email responses to danielle.hyde.2@us.af.mil by 0700 EST on Friday, September 19, 2025.
