Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No quotes are being requested or accepted at this time with this notice. The Department of Veteran s Affairs, Altoona Medical Center, Altoona, PA 16602, has a requirement for Preventative Maintenance and Repair (PM&R) for Ameriwater brand SPD Reverse Osmosis equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code being considered for this procurement is 811210, Electronic Precision and Equipment Repair and Maintenance, and the Product Service Code (PSC) is J064 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding Equipment-Water Purification and Sewage Treatment Equipment. The Small Business Size Standard is $34 million. Responses should provide enough information to determine if the vendor can comply with the limitations on subcontracting as defined in VAAR 852.219-74 and all applicable CFR references where applicable. All responses shall be in writing via email no later than 10:00 am (ET) November 14, 2025, to Emily Hall at emily.hall5@va.gov. Facsimile or telephone responses will not be accepted. There will be no question-and-answer period for this sources sought. Simply responding as an interested party does constitute your company as a source. Offeror must provide the above requested information. After reviewing the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the SAM or GSA website in the near future. Statement of Need Background: The Altoona VA Medical Center wishes to procure a PM&R service contractor for SPD Reverse Osmosis equipment. All necessary labor must be performed by an authorized Ameriwater Service Provider capable of providing materials, equipment, parts and travel to perform inspections on the AMERIWATER ROS 800 GPD REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM with Deionozer and Storage Tank (00HC-2050) at the James E. Van Xandt VA Medical Center, 2907 Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, PA 16602. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Base Plus 4 one-year option periods Base Year: 12/03/2025-12/02/2026 Option Year 1: 12/03/2026-12/02/2027 Option Year 2: 12/03/2027-12/02/2028 Option Year 3: 12/03/2028-12/02/2029 Option Year 4: 12/03/2029 12/02/2030 QUARTERLY SERVICE: -Inspect System for Leaks -Verify Proper Functioning of RO Gauges &Instrumentation -Monitor RO Membrane Performance -Verify Proper Functioning of Storage Tank System/ Level Controls -Verify Proper Functioning of Distribution Pump System -Verify Proper Functioning of Anti-Scalant Feed System -Replace two Ameriwater Carbon Block Filter Cartridges 2.5"" x 20""10 micron -Check and Fill Antiscalant. Use customer stock to refill. -RO Cleaning/Disinfection SEMI-ANNUAL SERVICE TO INCLUDE: -Minncare disinfection of the silex unit prior to replacement of (2) DI Sacks -Disinfect the silex housings before installing the new sacks -Replace DI Packs (send out exhausted sacks to be regenerated for the next service.
