SOURCES SOUGHT FOR � DEMOLISH VACANT BARRACKS BUILDINGS 532 AND 132H, GREAT LAKES NAVAL STATION GREAT LAKES, IL THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, REQUEST FOR QUOTE, OR INVITATION FOR BID. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking eligible small business firms capable of performing all work required to completely demolish and remove Building 532, a vacant 3-story student barrack building with a partial basement, and Building 132H, a vacant 4-story student barrack onboard Naval Station Great Lakes in Great Lakes, IL. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement, a market survey for information to be used for preliminary planning purposes. The information received will be used within the Navy to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes and to determine whether to set-aside the requirement for small business concerns. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking eligible Small Businesses capable to perform a proposed contract. Large business submittals will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any requested follow-up information. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. No drawings or specifications will be made available at this time. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this market research. General Work Requirements: Except where otherwise stated, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, transportation, supervision, materials, inspections, equipment, and safety compliance necessary to perform all work required to completely demolish and remove Building 532, a vacant 3-story student barrack building with a partial basement, and Building 132H, a vacant 4-story student barrack onboard Naval Station Great Lakes in Great Lakes, IL. The demolition work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Preparation and Mobilization Hazardous Material survey Secure site with appropriate fencing, signage, and safety measures to ensure the protection of personnel and adjacent properties. 2. Demolition Safely and systematically demolish the entire structure, including foundations, utilities and all related components. Ensure dust control, noise mitigation, and adherence to environmental regulations. 3. Debris Removal Remove and dispose of all debris, materials, and waste generated from the demolition in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Restore the site to a clean, level condition, suitable for future use as specified by the project requirements. Building footprint is to be backfilled, compacted, graded, and seeded. The demolition for both buildings comprises the entire building including all foundation walls, foundation footings, all individual column footings, and associated utilities. Building 532- The basement is currently flooded and will require pumping out prior to the hazardous materials survey and abatement. This step must be completed before proceeding with the full demolition of the building. This is a new procurement and does not replace an existing contract. The anticipated award of this contract is July 2026. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238910. Site Preparation Contractors, with a small business size standard of $19,000,000. If the resulting solicitation is set aside for small business firms, it will include FAR clause 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting. If adequate interest is not received from Small Business concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Interested sources are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement by using the forms provided under separate files titled Sources Sought Contractor Information Form (form attached). This form is required. Information not provided may prohibit your firm from consideration. If you are submitting as a mentor-prot�g� agreement joint venture under the 8(a), you must provide SBA approval of the mentor-prot�g� agreement to be considered as a small for this procurement. Responses must include identification and verification of the firm�s small business status. The Government will use responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a proposal, but rather short statements regarding the company�s ability to demonstrate existing-or-developed expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified herein. Submission of a Capabilities Statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. The information provided in this notice is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. The Government will not provide debriefs on the results of this research, but feedback regarding the decision to set aside or not set aside the procurement will be accomplished via pre-solicitation synopsis or solicitation for these services, as applicable. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the purpose intended. Responses are due on 21 January 2026 by 12:00pm CT. Please submit the Contractor Information Form AND Capabilities Statement with your response.
