- VENDOR QUESTION: Question: I had one question regarding the requirements. � It says R448a refrigeration replacing standard. � A little confused by that. � Is the R448a the requested refrigerant or is it requesting to replace that standard refrigerant with another? � Is R290a an acceptable alternative? � Answer: R290a is acceptable and what is called for on the specification sheet.
