VENDOR'S CONFERENCE - MIGRATING TO THE FUTURE OPEN SOFTWARE EXPLOITATION ENVIRONMENT Contact Mr. Dan Miller (703) 285-5347. The Director, Central Imagery Office, will host a Vendor Conference on 9 February 1995 at MITRE's Hayes Building, 7525 Colshire Drive, McLean, VA. The Vendor Conference will provide vendors with details of the CIO's Exploitation Initiative, other related community initiatives and the roadmap to migrate today's predominately government-developed exploitation systems to a future standards-based, predominately COTS hardware and software environment with GOTS augmentation. The tentative agenda for the meeting includes: (1) Overview of Recent and Future Events related to softcopy exploitation; (2) An Overview of the CIO's USIS 2000 Exploitation Initiative and related activities; (3) CIO Standards Update including the role of the OMG's CORBA standards and an overview of the Image Access Object Model; (4) Results of the Joint Integrated Exploitation Support Study (CAWS-MATRIX Issue); (5) The Future Imagery Exploitation Environment and the roadmap to achieve it; and (6) Additional topics including DISCUS, common architecture efforts and the Exploitation Environment Evaluations. Please suggest other topics for consideration. Inclusion of additional topics at the conference will be based on the time available and their relevance to this vendor group. A final agenda will be distributed via FAX prior to the conference. Attendance will be limited to two persons per company. Request for registrations are due by 13 January 1995.
