It is the National Science Foundation's intent to exercise the first option to extend the period of performance under NSF Contract Number OPP-8922832 with Antarctic Support Associates of Englewood, Colorado. The extended period of performance is April 1, 1996 through March 31, 1998. The total estimated cost plus maximum award fee for this contract, including the option period, is $654,144,449. The purpose of this announcement is to publicize potential subcontracting opportunities. Contingent upon the availability of funds the following additional subcontracting opportunities are expected: (1) McMurdo Station, Antarctica station services (i.e., janitorial, laundry and hairdressing services, this requirement will be set aside for small businesses, SIC Code 7349); (2) McMurdo Station, Antarctica vehicle maintenance and operations; (3) McMurdo Station, Antarctica medical and dental services (if the responsibility is relinquished by the U.S. Navy, Naval Support Force, Antarctica); (4) Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station redevelopment, manufacture of prefabricated building modules; (5) McMurdo Station, Antarctica, Winter Quarter's Bay environmental remediation; (6) Palmer Station, Antarctica environmental remediation; and (7) McMurdo Station, Antarctica power and water plant maintenance and operation.
