96113-5009 B -- DEMILITARIZATION OF CONVENTIONAL MUNITIONS (RESOURCE RECYCLING

a request for information (RFI) and market survey to determine if
there are any responsive and responsible private firms which are
interested in partnership or teaming efforts with Sierra Army Depot,
Herlong, California for the purpose of conducting resource recycling
and recovery (R3) demilitarization operations on obsolete conventional
munitions. Interested firms must submit evidence that they can provide
equipment and technical support for demilitarization operations which
are both efficient and environmentally safe. This is a request for
information and market survey only. At this time the government has no
requirement for this partnership arrangement. The government will use
the information obtained frm this notice to understand the
capabilities of the marketplace. All interested parties should provide
at no cost to the government full descriptive literature demonstrating
their capabilities to provide the above requirements within 21 days
after publication of this notice. To be considered capable, parties
must demonstrate the following: (1) general knowledge of and experience
with modern, environmentally safe technologies and equipment for the
demilitarization of conventional munitions, (2) past performance as it
pertains to relavant experience in any or all of the above areas, and
(3) corporate capabilities in the areas of program management and
oversight of the above mentioned processes. All of the literature
provided in response to this synopsis will become the property of the
