H. Logan, 703/564-8300. Item 1 - 1995 Gypsy moth suppression: Provide
all labor, equipment, materials (except Gov't furnished items) and
transportation and other items required to aerial spray approx. 5,237
acres (plus/minus 15%). Insecticides to be applied are Dimilin (1,822
acres), Bt (3,155 acres) and Gypchek (260 acres). Government will be
providing all Gypchek and Gypchek additives. Applications are to be
made on areas ranging from approx. 7 to 805 acres at elevations ranging
from 620' to 3,670'. Areas are located on the George Washington
National Forest and Shenandoah National Park, in Rockingham, Page,
Augusta, Rockbridge, Nelson, Warren Rappahannock, Madison, and Highland
counties in Virginia and Pendelton country in West Virginia. Work is
expected to begin approx. May 1, 1995. Contractor will be required to
provide one obsrvation aircraft for each application aircraft. All
areas are to be sprayed using rotary winged aircraft due to the small
sizes of many areas and the mountaineous terrain. Items 2 & 3. (These
are optional items that may be exercised by the government) - 1996-1997

Virginia. Work is expected to begin approx. May 1, 1996 for Item 2 and
May 1, 1997 for Item 3. Contractor will be required to provide one
observation aircraft for each application aircraft. All areas are to be
sprayed using rotary winged aircraft due to the small sizes of many
areas and the mountaineous terrain. In addition to providing
insecticides and observation costs, bidders will be required to provide
per acre cost using a Differentially Corrected Global Positioning
System-Based Aircraft Tracking Guidance and Flight Path Recording
System (DGPS) and provide a cost per acre without using a
Differentially Corrected Global Positioning System-Based Aircraft
Tracking Guidance and Flight Path Recording System (DGPS). See Numbered
