G. Morton, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-1200. The Defense Nuclear
Agency (DNA) is soliciting proposals for Counterproliferation ACTD
System Engineering and Integration. DNA will hold an unclassified
Preproposal Conference at 0900, 9 Feb 95, at the DNA Headquarters,
Conference Room A. (No Preregistration is necessary.) Firms will be
limited to two representatives. Representatives from the cognizant
directorates will be in attendance and available to discuss/explain
requirements and answer questions. The objective of this System
Engineering effort is to design a system that is responsive to
operational needs using mature, demonstrated technologies provided by
supporting agencies and to support operational commands in
demonstrating the system's military utility. Specific objectives are:
1. To analyze mission requirements resulting in the identification of
specific system technical performance parameters; 2. To conduct trade
identifyng risk reducing alternative approaches; 3. To verify system
performance and interface compatability; 4. To support operational
commands in developing plans and procedures for the system
demonstration and in analyzing collected data; 5. To develop sufficient
system documentation to support entry directly into the engineering and
manufacturing development acquisition phase if the decision is made to
procure the system. Contractor personnel will require a DOD security
level of TOP SECRET. Contemplated period of performance is three years.
