Estimated Cost Range: $500,000 - $1,000,000. Time for completion: 150 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Project involves: the work includes the total removal of the existing steam heating system and replacement with new hot water heating system and installation of a new direct digital temperature control system. Removal of two underground storage tanks and asbestos abatement will also be involved. Any contractor or subcontractor performing asbestos abatement and/or fuel oil tank removal shall meet the competency qualification requirements as specified in Section 00120 of the specification, and provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $500,000 per occurrence. Such coverage must encompass liabilities arising from work with the hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. See Note 1. Option No. 1: Full maintenance service of the Energy Management and Control System for the one year guarantee period.
