A -- EM-1 UPGRADE FOR CHAPTERS 9 & 12, EM WAVE PROPAGATION AND DEGRADATION SOL DNA001-95-R-0015 POC Jennifer Seaton, Negotiator, (703) 325-9368, Edward Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028. Cpmtract calls for a limited upgrade for the current version of EM-1 Chapter 9 & 12. It will consist of coherently adding new material to better illustrate the effect of nuclear environments on RF signal propagation and communications and radar systems degradation. This will provide up-to-date information and make both of the volumes more easily usable by designers and analyzers of new systems and system application. It will also provide new predictions of the effect of nuclear environment on RF propagation using the latest versions of the Defense Nuclear Agency's (DNA) prediction codes and tools and will reflect evolving system requirements and advanced communications and radar technology. The primary objectives of the effort are to bring the system and technical data up to the current DNA capability standards and to insure that these two chapters track technically.
