OCOEE WHITEWATER CENTER: Terrace Construction- Provide and install approximately 50,000 tons of grouted and ungrouted rock and earth fill along 400 lineal feet of river bank; 1000 sq yd concrete & marble surfacing; 1250 lineal feet of drainage pipe, 450 plant wells & 318 trees (up to 4.5'' cal). Contractor will be working in concert with others involved in other phases of project, as well as intermittent use of site for training and competition by shitewater atletes. Estimated price range is $500,000-$1,000,000. Work site includes Ocoee River, approximately 30 miles east of Cleveland, Polk County, Tennessee, Cherokee National Forest. The estimated closing date is February 21, 1995. Performance time is 240 calendar days after effective date of Notice to Proceed. This is a 100% set-aside for Labor Surplus Area Concerns. (026)
