Pending internal approval, the Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue orders on multiple occasions for a two year period against Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-95-G-5621 with Sperry Marine Incorporated, 1070 Seminole Drive, Charlottesville, VA, 22901. Orders will be issued for repair parts, repair alterations, overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance for the AN/BPS-16(V) Radar. This includes all materials and services incidental to such work, such as repair parts, components, accessories, documentation, storage, inventory functions or shipping and handling. Orders may cover the opening and inspection of the equipment by the Contractor to determine the extent of repair, alteration or overhaul work necessary. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Sperry Marine Inc. is the sole producer of the AN/BPS-16(V) Radar. It is the only company which possesses the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other source has the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
