The Department of the Army, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, is anticipating to solicit, on a sole source basis, KDI Precision Products, Cincinnati, Ohio, to procure and set-up special tooling to increase the existing production line capability for the XM235 Self Destruct Fuze. This effort will rquire the contractor to have a production line capability of 40,000 fuzes per month on a 2-8-5 shift basis. An option provision for an additional capability of 190,000 fuzes per month on a 1-8-5 basis is included as part of this requirement. A competitive TDP is not available for this effort. See Note 22.
