35 -- UNIFORM DISPENSING SYSTEM SOL RFP 548-09095 DUE 040595 POC Contact Point, Dinora Bruno, (407)882-6511 Notice of intent that the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida is procuring Autovalet model MK7/560/LH or equal and Model MK7/420/End or equal Automatic Garment Dispensers system to provide fully automatic uniform exchange service for both personnal or sized uniform issue. To include all transportation cost, installation, labor, supervision, tools, and training for VA personnel in accordance with solicitation. System must service up to a maximum of 980 wearers/storage positions without reloading. Each of the 980 storage positions shall be capable of holding a minimum of three (3) standard hangers; a maximum of five (5) standard hangers. Each hanger to typically hold a full length lab coat or a combination shirt and trousers. Each of the 980 storage positions shall be capable of holding upwards to five (5) hangers, depending upon the type of garments involved and the number of garments hung on adjacent storage positions. The system shall provide storage of 980 additional storage positions, each of the additional 980 storage positions to be capable of holding 2 hangings. The secondary storage positions shall not be accessible to the collection mechanism. This is a sole source requirement and if no affirmative written responses are received that a comparable source is available, a sole source contract will be negotiated with Autovalet Systems International, 4007-F Westfax Dr., Chantilly, VA 22021.
