COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF FEBRUARY 17,1995 PSA#1286U.S. Marshals Service, Procurement Division, Suite 990, 600 Army-Navy
Drive, Arlington, VA 22202-4210 D -- AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE SOL N\A
POC Marie Lubash, Contracting Officer, (202) 307-9343. THIS IS NOT A
SOLICITATION. The USMS is seeking information on existing computerized
and automated aircraft and passenger scheduling systems that are
capable of handling approximately 4,000 aircraft movements and 200,000
passenger movements per year. The USMS currently transports sentenced
and pretrial prisoners using an airfleet of government-owned and
leased large aircraft (727s), and smaller government-owned aircraft.
Scheduling is currently accomplished in a noncomputerized mode in
Kansas City, Missouri. Aircraft scheduling must be coordinated with
complex ground logistics. Transportation to include vans, buses, etc.,
and proper security must be addressed. In 1995, the USMS will begin
including air transportation of criminal aliens using personnel and
aircraft from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. This
combined operation will result in the requirment for a computerized and
automated scheduling system capable of handling approximately 4,000
aircraft movements and 200,000 passenger movements per year. It is
projected that the system will be required on September 30, 1995, with
updates as required. Provide a description of an existing ADPE
system(s) which may meet the USMS requirements by transmitting written
notice of interest to the above Point Of Contact (POC) by March 7,
1995. This notice is not a request for proposals or offers, and the
Government will not compensate any source for the cost incurred in
developing and producing submitted information. (0046) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0040 19950216\D-0009.SOL)
