The contractor must employ a qualified Roofing Quality Controller with no less than five years experience in supervision and inspection of single-ply roofs. Work consists of removal and reinstallation of four roofs and modifications to rrof drainage systems. Total square footage is approximately 36,000sf. Highest building height is 30 feet, with an average building height of 20 feet. Project includes removal of existing roofing membranes and insulation substance. Installation of tapered insulation and cover and fully adhered, non-ballast black EPDM single ply 60 mil roofing membrane. Work also includes installation of prefinished metal coping and flashing, replacement of bird screens and roof drain strainers and minor repairs to hoods and vents. Modifications to roof drain systems includes installation of undergound storm drainage pipe to existing storm drains through existing pavements. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. Plans and specs will be available on or about 15 March 1994.
