Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT(S) FOR REPAIR & ALTERATION OF POSTAL FACILITIES IN SAN DIEGO DISTRICT SOL 052571-95-A-0044 DUE 040695 POC Tina Valdez, Contract Assistant, 415/794-6147 or John Fraher Purchasing Specialist, 415-794-6337. The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting for an indefinite quantity contract(s) (IQC) for repair and alteration projects at various USPS-owned and leased facilities located within the San Diego District which consist of the counties of San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and a portion of San Bernardino, California. Contract term will be two years. Quantity of work ordered will not be less than $10,000 nor more than $250,000. The contract contains option(s) to increase the maximum dollar value of orders which can be placed to $1,000,000. Multiple awards may be made. Offerors are required to submit a single multiplier to be applied to unit prices to determine the value of each work order issued. The multiplier must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. Although price will be a factor, the award may not be made to the offeror submitting the lowest multiplier. Evaluation factors other than price are: (1) A demonstrate track record of successful performance on similar contracts in the San Diego area over a period of the last 3 years; (2) Adequate financial strength and resources; (3) Have favorable references; (4) Ability of the contractor to perform on the site, with its own organization, work equivalent to at least 12 percent of each work order. (5) Qualified personal superintendent/foreman who will be at the worksite at all times during progress of each work order with authority to act for the contractor;(6) Ability to start work on all work orders within ten days after receipt; (7) Proximity of home office to area being served; (8) Have a sound record of integrity and business ethics. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract(s) will be 10%. Performance and payment bonds, along with evidence of current State of California general building contractors license (Classification B) issued in the name of the offeror/contractor or principal of the firm must be received within ten days after issuance of Intent-to-Award letter. The Postal Service does not accept individual sureties. There is a non-refundable charge of $25.00 for the plans and specifications. Please make check or money order payable to USPS Disbursing Officer, note solicitation number on check. Sealed offers are due by 3:00 p.m. on the date shown above. Offers will not be publicly opened and all proposal information will remain confidential until contract award.
