Analysis for polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans is required at the USDA, Agricultural Research Service faculty in Fargo, ND. Laboratories are required to use methodologies described in U.S. EPA Method 8290 or U.S. EPA Method 1613. The samples will be beef tissues. Technical proposals will be evaluated based on (a) expertise for sample type, cost, turnaround time, interlaboratory validation of results, (b) expertise in methodologies specified above, (c) qualifications of personnel and ability of equipment to do analysis required. A base year contract with two, one year options are contemplated. (058)
