A -- A -- JSOW/BLU-108 E&MD EFFORT AND LRIP OPTION SOL N00019-91-C-0196 POC Contact, Denise A. Hanley, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a modificaiton to contract number N00019-91-C-0196 for the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (E&MD) and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) phases of production of the Joint Stand Off Weapon (JSOW) BLU-108 variant. During E&MD, TI will perofrm all tasks associated with refinement of the submunition dispensing concept, integration of the BLU-108 submunition into the JSOW Baseline Airframe, and performance of Developmental and Operational Testing. LRIP will include a maximum quantity of 150 JSOW BLU-108 units, containers and all associated data and production tooling. TI, the sole designer and developer of JSOW, is the only firm possessing the necessary knowledge and experience to perform this effort. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
