The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a contract to United Defense Limited Partnership (UDLP), Santa Clara, CA or to General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS), Warren, MI for the Demonstration and Validation Phase of the Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAAV) program. UDLP and GDLS are considered to be the only possible sources for this contract because of their prior experience and development work under the competitively-awarded Concept Exploration/Definition Phase contracts and their follow-on contracts. The Government anticipates issuing a draft Request for Proposal M67854-95-R-0014 during 3rd Quarter, Fiscal Year 1995. See Note 22. (0061)
