C -- ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF TWO 500 TON OVERHEAD TRAVELING CRANES AT THE NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, CARDEROCK DIVISION, LARGE CAVITATION CHANNEL (LCC), MEMPHIS, TN SOL N62477-95-C-6347 DUE 040795 POC Joann Conley, Contract Specialist, (410) 293-3847. The successful firm will be required to provide engineering services necessary to prepare contract drawings, specifications, and estimates for the repair or replacement of two 500 ton overhead traveling cranes at the LCC in Memphis, TN. The ''design to cost'' for this project is not to exceed $175,000.00. Significant selection criteria in relative order of importance include: (1) Recent specialized experience of the firm in field inspection, engineering and design services for the repair or replacement of overhead cranes; (2) Professional qualifications of the staff to be assigned to this contract including those of consultants; (3) Capacity of the assigned design team to accomplish work within a limited time period; (4) Past performance with respect to construction cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules with an emphasis on Government work; (5) Location of the firm in the general geographical area of the project provided there is an adequate number of local qualified firms; (6) The volume of work previously awarded to the firm by the Department of Defense will be considered with the object of effecting an equitable distribution of DOD AE contracts among qualified firms including small and small disadvantaged business firms and firms that have not had prior DOD contracts. Firms responding by 2:00 PM on 07 April 1995 will be considered. This notice is not an RFP. This requirement is a one hundred percent Small Business Set Aside. The SIC Code is 8711. The size standard is a concern, including it's affiliates, having average annual sales or receipts for its preceeding three fiscal years not in excess of $2,500,000.00.
