C -- ARCHITECT/ENGINEER SERVICES - CONSTRUCTION SOL Project 641-95-114 DUE 040395 POC Contact Point, Jackie Langrehr, (410)642-1048 Provide Architect Engineer Services for a fully developed Investigative-Preliminary Design and Working Drawings and Specifications to renovate buildings 1H and 2H for a 50 bed domiciliary at the VA Medical Center, Perry Point, Maryland (Design work will include, but is not limited to achitectural, electrical and mechanical work, with a firm construction cost estimate). Scope of work will include retrofitting with new HVAC systems utilizing existing steam and chilled water, upgrade electrical system and lighting, replace windows, replace old slate roofs with asphalt shingles, remove exterior asbestos containing paint and apply synthetic stucco finish to match existing buildings, install sprinklers throughout the buildings, provide structural support and reconfigure rooms include private and semi-private baths, bedrooms, meeting rooms, lounge areas, closet/storage areas and other support space, provide new interior finishes, enclose two porch areas on building 1H for meeting rooms and all associated work including demolition, asbestos abatement, carpentry, masonry, electrical, HVAC, roofing, sheet metal, etc. Estimated construction cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 120-mile radius of Perry Point (Perryville), Maryland. Interested firms must submit an updated SF 254 and SF 255 to the Contracting Officer (90C), VA Medical Center, Building 101, Room 26B, Perry Point, Maryland 21902, no later than close of business (4:30 p.m., local time) on April 3, 1995 (See note number 24).
