A request for proposal on the Hard Target Smart Fuze EMD Support is contemplated for release within 30 days. One award is anticipated. Note 22 applies for this requirement. The effort is approved for Acquisition for Experimentation and Test Purposes in accordance with 10 USC 2373, status for a one-time buy. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offers when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to request information, pose questions, and voice concerns before resorting to use of the Ombudsman.
