This procurement will be set-aside for Indian-owned firms under the ''Buy Indian Act'', 25 U.S.C. 47. Indian firms desiring consideration must be at least 51% Indian-owned. Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Failure by the contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior to award and implement the same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award or termination of the contract for default. Release date of RFP is March 24, 1995. The due date for proposals is April 24, 1995. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., April 3, 1995, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. (0068)
