Ramos, Contracting Officer. Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Replace HVAC & Install Fire Detection System, Building 9297, Site A-13, Eglin AFB FL. Presolicitation Notice has been issued. Bid opening date of 10 May 95 is only an estimated date. Work will consist of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and all operations in connection with Replacing Air Handling Units, Chiller and Boiler in Building 9297, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work consists of removing the existing chiller, boiler, air handling units and ductwork and installing new chiller, boiler, air handling units, ductwork, and controls. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining a digging permit for Eglin AFB. Contractor shall hold the State of Florida asbestos contractor license and certain current and valid professional certifications are required before starting work. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, services, insurance, equipment, technical personnel, consultants and laboratory analytical personnel necessary to complete asbestos abatement, including all related tasks. The second part of the requirement is the install a fire detection system in Building 9297, Site A-13, Eglin AFB FL. The radio and fire alarm system equipment will be completely installed, properly interconnected, and placed in working order. Work shall consist of installing an automatic fire alarm system, complete with control panel, antenna, transceiver, lightning arrestor, grounding rod, standby battery, manual fire alarm boxes, combination horn/strobe alarm signaling devices, duct smoke detectors, smoke detectors, and automatic heat detectors. The dollar range for these requirements are between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
