Z -- TAMPA, FLORIDA GENERAL MAIL FACILITY - MODIFY DOCK SOL 475450-95-A-0261 DUE 041095 POC Bettye S. Perkins, Facilities Contract Technician, 901/747-7628. Furnish manpower, materials, equipment, supervision, and all associated incidentals to accomplish structural rehabilitation of the north dock of the General Mail Facility located in Tampa, Florida. The dock is approximately 500 feet long and 25 feet wide (width varies). The work will be completed in phases to allow most of the dock to remain in use throughout construction. Notice to proceed to start on April 17, 1995, and completion by October 22, 1995. The rehabilitation will be accomplished by demolition and replacement of the concrete dock slab. Part of the slab is a structural deck and part is a slab on grade. Generally the work consists of removal and replacement of dock bumpers and dock levelers, slab shoring, concrete sawcutting and demolition, disposal, placement or reinforcement, new concrete work, application of surface hardener and cleanup in accordance with plans and specifications attached hereto and made part hereof.. An informal preproposal conference/walk-through is scheduled for March 23, 1995, at 10 a.m., Room 319, 5201 Spruce Street, Tampa, Florida. The estimated cost range is $350,000 to $410,000. Cost of the plans and specifications for this project is $25 per set, nonrefundable. Be sure to reference the subject solicitation number on your request.
