The Government intends to negotiate solely with BioImage Corporation, 777 E. Eisenhower Parkway, Suite 950, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, since their system was the only one found capable of meeting the Government's minimum requirements as follows: the ability to image separate gel bands with automatic lane and band finding; the ability to have inflection point band quantification, band concentration, and band analysis, both automatic and manual; the ability to have image annotation, lane profile overlay, localized background subtraction, lane characteristics, and 3-D image reconstruction; and the ability to match all lanes from multiple gels to the lanes of interest.
