Grotos tel: 202/358-0392/Technical Contact Guy Miller 202 358-2066 The National Aeronautics and Space Administration intends to issue an RFP for Domestic Patent, Trademark, Copyright Services and Copyright Search Sevices on or about April 3, 1995. This requirement is being set-aside for small business. Areas of technology that NASA's requirement include, but are not limited to, are as follows: aeronautics, rotorcraft and powered-lift technology, life sciences, space sciences, composite materials, materials processing, propulsion technology, electronic circuits and components, semiconductors, polymers, coatings and general chemical compounds. It is estimated that there will be 75 to 100 patent related searches each year and 10 to 15 domestic patent applications preparations yearly. The four major areas under Domestic Patent, Trademark and Copyright Services are; (1) study and evaluation of patents, trademarks and copyrights; (2) preparation of trademark, copyright and patent applications; (3) prosecution of patent, trademark and/or copyright applications; and (4) other domestic patent, trademark and copyright services. The Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Search Services will include novelty search, validity search, infringement search, an assignment or title search, a copyright search, a trademark search, or other type of search. These searches will be on a quick turnaround basis of approximately three working days. A five year, Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery contract is contemplated as a result of this solicitation. Multiple awards may arise from this solicition if it is in the Government's best interest.
